Corals accumulate minerals and trace elements from the seawater during their life cycle and thus contain, among other things, a high proportion of calcium with the best bioavailability. This favorable mineral composition is also preserved in fossil corals that are mined exclusively on the Pacific island of Okinawa, the region with the world's longest life expectancy. In order to obtain the Tasnim coral calcium, only fossil corals are mined under the supervision of the WWF.

Fossil coral calcium from Japan
Fossil coral mineral powder is a natural, easily absorbable calcium for bones, teeth, muscles and nerves. Minerals are present in the sango coral in an ionized form. The particles are so small that when dissolved in water they can easily penetrate the cell membrane. Inorganic minerals (e.g. calcium carbonate) cannot easily pass through the cell walls, the body has to break them down and metabolize them beforehand, which it only partially succeeds in doing. Much of it is excreted uselessly or even deposited in the body. The high bioavailability of coral calcium is outstanding. Japanese doctors and scientists at the Higashi Hospital in Sapporo found out in a study that the participants were able to absorb the calcium from the coral much better through the intestines than the calcium carbonate that is commonly used.
